Get an inside look at Adina Watches, a watch manufacturer that has been producing watches in Brisbane since 1971. Meet the family behind the business and discover how the business started and continues the legacy.
Founded by Australian watchmaker Robert ‘Bob’ Menzies with a vision to create watches built for the Australian lifestyle. Today, the business continues to carry that legacy forward, with Bob’s son Grant Menzies involved in the company and a skilled team of watchmakers, apprentices and craftspeople helping keep Australian watchmaking alive.
During this special event, guests will enjoy a tour around the Adina Watches facilities, followed by a Q&A with the family facilitated by Andrew Barter.

Meet Adina Watches
Adina Watches is a second-generation family business and Australian watchmaker based in Brisbane. Founded in 1971 by Robert ‘Bob’ Menzies, the business began with Bob’s watchmaking trade and an entrepreneurial idea to create a watch brand of his own. More than 50 years later, Adina Watches has grown from one dedicated watchmaker into a team of around 16 people, with Bob still actively involved in the workshop alongside his son, Grant Menzies.
The business has been shaped by craftsmanship, long-term relationships and a commitment to trust. Adina Watches brings specialist components into its Brisbane factory, where the team combines them with Swiss movements to assemble, repair and service watches locally. The business has also continued to invest in the future of watchmaking, having trained more than 50 apprentices over its lifetime, with four apprentices currently in the business.
Today, Grant Menzies continues to help lead the family business alongside his father Bob, after almost 30 years in the business. The Menzies family remains focused on quality, trust, succession planning and the long-term future of Adina Watches, while continuing to train the next generation of watchmakers through its apprenticeship program.
